Steve Clapp

Steve Clapp, President / CEO

Mr. Clapp serves as President and CEO of Curae Health. During 2014 he developed the concept for the formation Curae Health, a not for profit company focused on rural hospitals. Prior to that Mr. Clapp was one of four individuals that formed Restoration Healthcare. He served as its President and CEO.  The company’s purpose was to partner with local physicians to acquire and save rural hospitals.  Restoration Healthcare quickly grew:  with three hospitals owned and managing a county owned hospital that totaled more than $100 million.  These hospitals had multiple service lines including acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, dialysis, home health, surgery, emergency, physician employees, and medical office buildings.  Steve served as the transitional interim CEO during the acquisition at the facilities. Prior to the formation of Restoration Healthcare, Mr. Clapp worked for the Baptist Health System of East Tennessee, a not-for-profit multi-hospital system.  He rose from the position of Planning Analyst to Senior Vice President of Business Development over twelve years with responsibilities including strategic planning, certificate of need development, marketing, physician practice management, PPO network, medical office buildings, and hospital oversight.



Andrea McLerran, Vice President

Andrea McLerran serves as the Vice President of Curae Health. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, Andrea has served as a Physician Practice Manager, Patient Financial Services Director, Controller, CFO, Hospital Administrator, and a Home Health Administrator. She also has experience with publicly traded hospital corporations, privately held for-profit hospitals, and not-for-profit health systems. Prior to joining Curae Health, Andrea served as the Chief Administrative Officer at Cumberland River Hospital and retained in position when the hospital sold to Cookeville Regional Health Systems from Restoration Healthcare in 2012.

Ms. McLerran earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Tennessee Technological University. She is a member of the Tennessee Hospital Association Small or Rural Constituency Committee and the American College of Healthcare Executives.


Tim Brown, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Brown assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer including Information Systems and Corporate Compliance. Prior to joining Curae Health Mr. Brown as Chief Officer of Claiborne Medical Center. He has over 26 years’ experience in Healthcare Administration and has served as a Chief Financial Officer of two hospitals before moving into the Chief Executive role in 2004. He received his Bachelors of Science with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems from Carson-Newman College. In addition, Mr. Brown is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator (10 years). He serves on the Tennessee Hospital Association Small or Rural Constituency Committee, is a 26-year advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.



David Lopater, Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management

Mr. Lopater  has over 25+ years of human resource experience with organizations of all sizes and types, including healthcare, high tech, service industries, and start-ups.

David holds a B.S. degree in Psychology and M.S. degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as well as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Prior to Strategic Healthcare Resources, David held positions with leading international companies including: Anheuser Busch, Steelcase Office Furniture & Provision Healthcare. In these organizations, David served in various leadership roles – upgrading HR to a customer responsive, cost effective function; or creating an HR function from scratch.

David’s Human Resource experience includes sitting in every major specialty chair of Human Resources as either a subject matter expert or functional executive; this includes compensation & benefits, talent management, organizational development, and employee & labor relations. David’s specialty is successful execution of new initiatives.

Vince Jarnagin, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Jarnagin functions as the Chief Information Officer for Curae Health. He began his career as the Founder and CIO of Direct I.S., a computer reseller and service company. He led the business’ planning and growth efforts, which would then position the company as the largest computer hardware and services provider in East Tennessee. Mr. Jarnagin has over 20+ years experience in Information Technology and has served as the Chief Information Officer of three companies and most recently Restoration Healthcare. Currently he oversees all aspects of Information Technology for Curae Health. Mr. Jarnagin received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee and is a member of both the Information Systems and Audit Association and the Tennessee Health Information Management Association. His areas of expertise include IT infrastructure build out and administration, strategic planning, EHR implementation and administration, and large-scale IT Project Management.


Sarah Moore, Manager

Sarah graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2009.  She began her healthcare career as an Assistant Practice Manager for an OB/GYN office. She relocated to Atlanta, GA, where she gained broad exposure to marketing and business functions while working at INVISTA, a manufacturing company.  In the summer of 2014 Sarah relocated to Knoxville and began working for Strategic Healthcare Resources as manager, overseeing office operations and assisting with transactions.
